CRATES ARE MADE IN HOUSE

Crating is an integral part of the company, it is of the utmost importance that you receive your artworks in the condition it left the studio. We make bespoke wooden crates in house for each artwork we send directly from the studio.
These are made with precision and thought, using tried and tested machining and building methods. We make our own crates to ensure the highest standard of build quality and artwork handling methods are carried out.  This makes sure the condition report you read on our website represents the actual condition of the painting when it leaves the studio.

We have created an extremely robust shipping crate design. The primary crate material is plywood, which is reinforced and then lined with PE foam that dampens any vibrations in transit; the painting is also wrapped in archival grade PH neutral fabric to ensure nothing reacts with the painting surface. These materials combined to offer excellent protection whilst the artwork is in transit.

WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR CRATE?

Please keep all packaging material for the first 14 days if you are thinking of returning the artwork(s), as returns will not be accepted unless artworks are packed and transported in the original bespoke packaging.
If the crate is small enough we recommend putting it in a safe place in your loft or garage if you have one as this crate will be can be reused many times, and will protect your artwork when in transit.

The wooden crates can be recycled as plywood can be reused time and time again. The PE Foam should be removed and either kept as this is museum grade packaging foam, or take to your local recycling center and ask them what is best to do with it.

If you have a large crate, there are several options keep it if you have the room, dismantle it and repurpose the materials, list it on sites like gumtree see if anyone wishes to take it off your hands, or recycle it.
